In 1983 Lori Lipsman graduated from the California College of Arts and Crafts with a Masters Degree in Fine Art.

After graduating she has maintained her art practice through the financial support of working in the building trades.

In 1992 she partnered with Foresta von Kurt, forming von Kurt/Lipsman Inc.
von Kurt/Lipsman Inc holds California Contractors Licenses in Painting & Decorating, General Contracting, Plaster, and Drywall. Starting in 1998 Lori began consulting with clients on interior design and color. To supplement her design experience she has now taken numerous interior design, architecture, and "best practices" classes and workshops. In 2009 Lori passed the LEED exam to become a LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental design Accredited Professional with the United Stated Green Building Council).

Every project benefits from her cumulative education and experience in interior design and the building trades.
